rise n°1 is a 92-seat salon de soufflé and wine bar in Inwood Village. This relaxed bistro features more than 13 varieties of savory and sweet soufflés as well as hand-made imported cheeses, wine flights from afar, international micro-brewed beers, and a handful of French classics like salad niçoise and steak and pomme de terre. From the food to the eclectic décor, rise n°1 embraces all things French, celebrating the genuine pleasures of the table and engaging the senses in a comfortable, casual, environmentally conscious bistro with a style and charm all its own. Floor to ceiling bookshelves flank the doorway at rise n°1, housing one-of-a-kind French treasures as well as recycled cookbooks, French classics, and volumes of poetry. Among the collectables are hand-embroidered antique linen napkins, mix-and-match silver plate flatware, French table and wine accessories, bread slicers with 18th century knives, teapots, chocolatiers, plates made from recycled glass, and much more. All of the merchandise is available for purchase.
